Launched in June, the Choices Matter Facebook page provides followers with customizable doctor discussion guides, the latest trends in opioid prescribing and ways to minimize or eliminate the need for opioids after surgery. Our presence on Facebook has also proven to be a valuable way to share relevant updates related to our documentary, GATEWAY. Stemming from a prescription to manage pain after surgery, GATEWAY shares the story of how opioid addiction impacted the lives of three families. The page frequently shares emotional clips from the cast, ways to host a virtual screening and recent accolades bestowed upon the film.
The Choices Matter Facebook page also works with likeminded organizations such as Shatterproof and CADCA to share out useful resources and research related to the opioid epidemic and non-opioid options. The page often shares posts on upcoming events, such as those discussing opioid reduction strategies or efforts being made to combat the epidemic.
